WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, U.S. Congresswoman and Congressional Black Caucus Chair Joyce Beatty (OH-03) marked the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month, an annual initiative celebrating the rich contributions Hispanic Americans have made and continue to make on American history, culture, and heritage.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Tomorrow, September 11, 2021, marks the 20th anniversary of one of the darkest days in our nation's history. Rep. Joyce Beatty (OH-03) joins Americans in coming together to honor and pay tribute to the more than 2,900 innocent people who lost their lives and over 6,000 who were injured as a result of coordinated terrorist attacks in New York City and the Pentagon and the crash of United 93 outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congresswoman and Congressional Black Caucus Chair Joyce Beatty (OH-03) joined 219 of her House colleagues in voting to pass H.R. 4, the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. This critical legislation would restore key protections of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (VRA) which were gutted by the Supreme Court in the 2013 Shelby County v. Holder decision and more recently in the 2021 Brnovich v. DNC decision.
