Statement on the Nightclub Shooting in Orlando

U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement regarding the terrorist attack at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida:

"Today's horrific terrorist attack is an assault on our country and our people. I stand united with the entire LGBTQ community and Americans across the country in condemning these cowardly actions. As our nation celebrates Pride Month, let today serve as the turning point in our nation's ongoing struggle to stamp out hate in all forms. We mourn the victims, hope for the speedy recovery of the injured and pray for the family and friends of all those affected.

Hate has no place in our nation. Only when we join together can we finally put it to an end. Today can be that day."
