- Co-Chair of the House Financial and Economic Literacy Caucus.
- Authored the Financial Literacy College Education Act to establish best practices to teach financial literacy at institutions of higher education. The bill was signed into law in the 115th Congress.
- Passed the Free Credit Scores for Consumers Act out of the Financial Services Committee to provide consumers with free access to their credit scores.
- One of the lead Democrats on the Consumers First Act, a bill to make sure consumers' interests are placed before the interests of corporations.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This evening, the House unanimously passed H.R. 1450, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Licensure for Investigators Act, a bipartisan initiative led by Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) and Congressman Zach Nunn (IA-03). WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, on Harriet Tubman Day, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) reintroduced the Woman on the Twenty Act, which sets design and print deadlines for the Treasury Department to feature abolitionist Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. The effort, first announced in 2016, was halted under the first Trump Administration by then-Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. Secretary Janet Yellen revived the project, placing it back on track to meet its 2030 target for circulation.
