WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) introduced the bipartisan HUD-USDA-VA Interagency Coordination Act alongside Housing and Insurance Subcommittee Vice Chair Monica De La Cruz (TX-15). The legislation encourages intergovernmental coordination by requiring the Secretaries of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to collaborate across agencies to maximize their housing programs.

WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions, moved to subpoena the Secretary of the Treasury Department to release all unredacted documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s financial transactions, including wire transfers, currency transaction reports, suspicious activity reports, and other Bank Secrecy Act data.

The legislation would increase funding and make reforms to service coordinator programs, expanding the national workforce that connects residents of federally assisted housing with health care, nutrition, transportation, job training, education, and other critical services.
