WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) and Congressman John Garamendi (CA-08), reintroduced the bicameral HOME Investment Partnerships Reauthorization and Improvement Act to address America’s affordable housing crisis. The legislation would significantly increase the amount of federal funds available for the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Companion legislation in the U.S.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, on Harriet Tubman Day, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) reintroduced the Woman on the Twenty Act, which sets design and print deadlines for the Treasury Department to feature abolitionist Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. The effort, first announced in 2016, was halted under the first Trump Administration by then-Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. Secretary Janet Yellen revived the project, placing it back on track to meet its 2030 target for circulation.
