Today, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement on the passing of Senator John. S. McCain (R-AZ):

"The nation has lost a distinguished statesman and hero who will be remembered for serving his country honorably. Senator John McCain was a fighter on the battlefield and in the Halls of Congress. My thoughts and prayers are with his family."
