Rep. Beatty Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, U.S. Congresswoman and Congressional Black Caucus Chair Joyce Beatty (OH-03) marked the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month, an annual initiative celebrating the rich contributions Hispanic Americans have made and continue to make on American history, culture, and heritage.
"Hispanic Heritage Month gives everyone the opportunity to celebrate the rich culture and vibrant diversity of America's Latino communities and recognize the immense impact they make every day on our nation," Beatty said. "It is also an opportunity to reflect on the challenges that many Hispanic Americans continue to face every day. Through President Biden's transformative Build Back Better vision and the House-passed American Dream and Promise Act, we can expand support for underserved communities and create a path to legal status for DREAMers and their families. America is a nation of immigrants and I am proud to work with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to continue the fight for equality, opportunity, and justice for all of my constituents."
