Congresswoman Beatty Votes Against House Republicans’ Rules Package

Congressional Republicans’ first order of business includes legislation that puts radical politics over people

WASHINGTON,D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) voted against House Republicans’ rules package, which outlines a radical agenda to attack Americans’ freedoms and weaken our nation, including a drive to limit access to abortion.

“The chaos and disarray we witnessed from House Republicans last week made it perfectly clear that there is only one party interested in governing on behalf of the American people,” Congresswoman Beatty said. “From attacking women’s reproductive healthcare to launching a partisan campaign on the Department of Justice, Republicans continue to push extremist ideologies instead of addressing the kitchen table, pocketbook issues we were elected to solve. I remain united with my Democratic colleagues under Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to deliver for hardworking Ohioans, protect our freedoms, and stand for justice.”
