Congresswoman Beatty Statement on One-Year Anniversary of Russian Invasion of Ukraine

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement on the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine: 

“On the horrific one year anniversary of this war, my prayers are with the people of Ukraine who continue to show remarkable strength and resilience against Vladimir Putin’s murderous regime. 

“When Vladimir Putin launched his premeditated war on Ukraine, he made a grave error. He believed his actions would divide the United States from our European allies. Instead, his authoritarian brutality united the world around Ukraine. I continue to strongly stand with President Biden, my colleagues and Ukraine to ensure these resilient people have the resources needed to defend freedom and democracy abroad.”
