Congresswoman Beatty Honors International Women’s Day

March 8, 2023

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, March 8, 2023, on International Women's Day (IWD), U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty joins women in every corner of the world to honor the sheroes who are breaking barriers, shattering glass ceilings, and paving the way forward with fortitude. This year's theme is "Celebrating Women Who Tell our Stories," encouraging recognition of all women, past and present, who have made gains throughout our history while working to build a future where every woman has equal opportunity to reach their full potential.

“From the Supreme Court to the Halls of Congress to the war torn streets of Ukraine, this year we have seen unprecedented attacks on women’s rights and women’s freedoms. But history has proven the will and resolve of women to stand up and keep going despite insurmountable odds,” Beatty said. “That is why I will continue to work hard in Congress to enact and support policies that protect women’s freedom and equality at home, in the workplace, and in every facet of life. This International Women’s Day, let us remember: When women succeed, we ALL succeed!”
