Beatty Bats Down Republicans’ Desperate Effort to Overturn 2020 Election

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement in advance of the meeting of the Electoral College for the 2020 Presidential Election:

"I will vote to certify the Electoral College results because doing otherwise is bowing to Trump's demands, living with your head in the sand or, even worse, taking far-flung conspiracy theories—from the darkest corners of the Internet—as fact. The reality is that President-elect Joe Biden won fair and square, as Trump's own officials have conceded and every court of law has concluded over and over again."
