What Does "The Power of One" Mean to You?
Every year, on December 1st, the State of Ohio celebrates Rosa Parks Day, recognizing the historic day Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat on a segregated Montgomery, Alabama bus. The Statewide Tribute is also an important opportunity to reflect on "The Power of One” that each individual possesses to make a difference in the lives of others, our nation, and the world.
As a result of COVID-19 Pandemic, the 16th Statewide Tribute to Rosa Parks is going virtual and I need your help to make sure it's no less impactful! I am inviting constituents of Ohio's Third Congressional District to join in my #PowerOfOne Challenge for an opportunity to be highlighted on my social media and in the official 2020 Rosa Parks Day video.
To participate, please send a photo of you or an image you think best captures the “The Power of One,” along with your name, the city where you live and a two sentence explanation on how "The Power Of One" inspires you to be difference maker to OH03ThePowerOfOne@gmail.com by 11:59PM, Friday, November 27, 2020. The next day, on Saturday, November 28th, eligible submissions will be posted on my Facebook, where winners will be determined by the total number of ‘likes’ received by 11:59PM, Tuesday, December 1, 2020. If you have any questions, please call my District Office at (614) 220-0003.
