Announcements

This week, from March 2-6, is National School Breakfast Week (NSBW), a weeklong celebration of the School Breakfast Program. Founded in 1966, the School Breakfast Program provides low-income students across the country free or reduced-costs breakfasts. To mark NSBW, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

"The first and most important meal of the day is breakfast and thanks to the School Breakfast Program more than 12 million students start the day off with a nutritious meal. I salute the School Nutrition Association for their hard work and am proud to stand with them and many others to ensure that our students are ready to learn, not hungry."

NSBW is organized by the School Nutrition Association, a national nonprofit representing more than 57,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country.
