Beatty Celebrates National Adoption Month

November is National Adoption Month, a month-long initiative to increase awareness on the important role that adoption plays in the lives of children and families in our country and around the world, as well as an opportunity to recommit ourselves to ensuring every child can find their "forever family." To that effect, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

"To date, more than 100,000 children in the United States are waiting in foster care for an adoptive family. Unfortunately, 23,000 will cycle out of foster care with no family or permanent home. It is imperative that we reduce and reverse these trends. As a member of Congress, I strongly believe that more can be done to help expedite and streamline the process. Every child deserves the opportunity to live in a loving home with their ‘forever family.'"
