Beatty Celebrates National Adoption Month

November is National Adoption Month, a month-long initiative to increase awareness on the important role that adoption plays in the lives of children and families in our country and around the world, as well as an opportunity to recommit ourselves to ensuring every child can find their “forever family.” In that spirit, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

“Each year, more than 100,000 children in the United States are waiting in foster care for an adoptive family and another 23,000 cycle out of foster care with no family or permanent home. We must reduce and reverse these trends; and I believe Congress can do more to help expedite and streamline the process. Every child deserves the opportunity to live in a loving home with their ‘forever family.’”
