Congresswoman Beatty Statement on Memorial Day

Columbus, OH - U.S. Congresswoman Beatty (OH-03) released the following statement today in recognition of Memorial Day, observed on Monday, May 26:

"On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember the men and women who fought to protect our country and sacrificed all to protect America and the values we hold dear. We can never repay them for their sacrifices to protect our freedoms and we owe them our everlasting gratitude."

"As we honor their memory, we also thank our veterans and those currently serving our nation at home and abroad. It is our duty to provide those in uniform with the tools and resources they need to complete their mission safely and effectively. To those who served, we owe them first class services and benefits when they return."

"Our thoughts and prayers this Memorial Day are with the families, friends, and loved ones of the fallen, who gave our nation what Abraham Lincoln called, ‘the last full measure of devotion.' Let us rededicate ourselves to ensuring that their sacrifices are never forgotten."
