Congresswoman Beatty: Gee a “Remarkable Leader” for OSU

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Beatty (D-OH), released a statement on the retirement of E. Gordon Gee as president of The Ohio State University.

“President E. Gordon Gee is a great friend and mentor, who was an inspiration to me through both his tenures as president of The Ohio State University. I had the honor of working with him as his Senior Vice President for Outreach and Engagement for 3 years. Each day he worked on behalf of the students, faculty, and community to make Ohio State one of the most revered public institutions in the country. No idea was too big nor task too small for Gordon to immerse himself in when it came to the university’s work. Dr. Gee is a remarkable leader for the university and the State of Ohio, and I wish him much continued success in the future.”
