Congresswoman Beatty Highlights $5+ Million for OH-03

Jun 29, 2021
Press Release

COLUMBUS, OH—The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced recently that the Franklin County Department of Health was awarded a $3,999,169 grant to improve COVID-19 related health outcomes among communities of color. In addition, HHS gave the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital $1,252,161 to further the award-winning healthcare facility’s research and treatment for children and families impacted by mental health conditions. In response, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

“All Americans need to understand the importance of getting vaccinated, know best practices to avoid contracting and transmitting COVID-19, and be empowered to better manage their own health. Similarly, it is crucial that Central Ohio children and their parents can access mental health services so that they can continue to live life to the fullest. As Representative of Ohio’s Third Congressional District, these federal funds will help do exactly that by ensuring more of my constituents can achieve better health today, tomorrow, and for years to come.”
