Congresswoman Beatty Announces Winners of High School Congressional Art Competition
COLUMBUS, OH – Last night, central Ohio gathered at the award-winning Columbus Museum of Art to celebrate young talent as Congresswoman Beatty (OH-03), Congressman Stivers (OH-15), and Congressman Tiberi (OH-12) co-hosted the Central Ohio 2015 Congressional Art Competition Reception. Participants, teachers, family, and friends poured into the museum to admire the work of these young artists on display next to the traditional greats, proudly posing for photos with their artwork and their Member of Congress. Cheers echoed throughout the reception as winners from each district were announced. More applause will come when winning student artists across the country travel to Washington as pieces are installed in the United States Capitol for a year.
"Our talented young artists continually amaze me with their artistic skill and creativity," remarked Beatty. "I am proud that Ohio's 3rd Congressional District will once again be well represented at the U.S. Capitol. Congratulations to all of this year's winners, and thanks to everyone who participated."
