Calling All OH-03 High School Artists: You’re Invited to Participate in the 2023 Congressional Art Competition
Washington, D.C. — U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) is now accepting submissions for her 2023 Congressional Art Competition. After four years' absence, the reception will be held in person at the Columbus Museum of Art on May 12th, 2023. Students grades 9 through 12 must physically submit two-dimensional pieces, such as paintings, photos, drawings, collages, and digital art, to her District Office (471 East Broad Street Suite 1100 Columbus, OH 43215) no later than Friday, April 14th for consideration. The grand prize winner will receive a complimentary trip to Washington, D.C. to represent Ohio's Third Congressional District at the national Congressional Art Competition and the winning piece will be displayed in the US Capitol for the next year.
"The Congressional Art Competition is a phenomenal occasion for the students of Central Ohio to showcase their unique talents and perspectives in a creative setting," Beatty said. "This event is a highlight for me every year, and I cannot wait to see all of this year's wonderful pieces of art."
