Beatty Supports Legislation to Fund Government Operations Though September 30, 2016

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) supported a $1.1 trillion spending package that funds the government through September 30, 2016. The legislation, the Omnibus Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2016, passed the House by a bipartisan vote of 316-113.

"After a long and judicious review of the legislation's details, I supported this spending bill because it puts on our nation on a course toward investing in our future and helps hard-working American families achieve economic security. While I would have liked to see more funding for our social safety net and poverty alleviation, this bill makes critical investments in research, education, and health care," said Rep. Beatty.
