Beatty Statement on Bipartisan Budget Act

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Bipartisan Budget Act, H.R. 3877. Immediately following the vote, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

“The Bipartisan Budget Act makes critical investments in education and job training, public health, veterans’ healthcare, and assistance programs for vulnerable families, new moms, and children. Moreover, the bill helps prevent another costly government shutdown, enhances our national security, and protects the full faith and credit of the United States—ensuring we do not default on our debt. In short, the Bipartisan Budget Act is good for hardworking Central Ohioans, the middle-class, veterans, the military, and our economy.”
