Beatty attends the National Medal for Museum and Library Service Ceremony at the White House

(Washington, D.C.) – Congresswoman Beatty (OH-03) released the following statement regarding her attendance at the National Medal for Museum and Library Service Ceremony honoring the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) at the White House.

Today, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-3) attended the National Medal for Museum and Library Service Ceremony at the White House where the Columbus Museum of Art received an award presented by First Lady Michelle Obama and Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The event honors exceptional contributions of 10 museums and libraries across the United States and the Columbus Museum of Art, in Congresswoman Beatty’s Third Congressional district, was among one of the recipients.

The National Medal for Museum and Library Service honors outstanding institutions that are making a significant impact in their communities. Medal winners are selected from nationwide nominations of institutions that demonstrate innovative approaches to public service, exceeding the expected levels of community outreach.

The CMA takes great pride in delivering quality services and providing exemplary resources to the third congressional district of Ohio.
