Rep. Beatty dances to Drake's ‘In My Feelings' to get out the vote
Congresswoman Joyce Beatty doesn't know who Keke is — the name dropped in rapper Drake's song "In My Feelings" — but she wants her to vote.
Beatty, who represents Ohio's third congressional district, joined celebrities such as Will Smith and the five stars of Netflix show "Queer Eye" in participating in the #InMyFeelingsChallenge, dancing along to the Canadian rapper's hit.
"As a Member of Congress, it's imperative we tap into trending topics to help deliver important messages to the next generation, especially when it comes to the importance of voting and using one's voice," Beatty said in a statement on CNN.
"This is but the latest example of how I am bridging the gap between politics/government and millennials."
"In My Feelings" comes from Drake's latest album, Scorpion, released on June 29. The album just entered its second week in the number-one slot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Beatty's video, posted on Twitter on Friday, has garnered more than 1,000 likes — and, judging from the responses, some new fans.
