Fed diversity is focus of new legislation

A bill has been tabled in the US, which aims to improve the diversity of the Federal Reserve's leadership.

Introduced by representative Joyce Beatty, the bill would ensure at least one gender-diverse candidate and one racially- or ethnically-diverse candidate are interviewed when there is a vacancy among the regional Fed presidents.
