Observing Older Americans Month
May is Older Americans Month, a month-long initiative honoring our nation’s seniors and providing an opportunity to engage in thoughtful discussion on the critical issues impacting American seniors and their families. In recognition, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:
“Older Americans Month is all the more important this year as we continue to face the COVID-19 Pandemic. That is why Congress must provide the much-needed resources, equipment, and supports to keep all Americans safe and healthy in the short term, especially senior citizens, as well as to ensure the viability of Social Security and Medicare in the long term. To that effect, as Representative of Ohio’s Third Congressional District, I promise to keep seniors front of mind in everything that I do.”
