Congresswoman Encourages Everyone to Celebrate National Donate Life Month

April is observed as National Donate Life Month, a month-long initiative to encourage Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors and an opportunity to celebrate those that have saved lives through the gift of donation. To mark the occasion, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (D-OH) said:

"Every 10 minutes, another person is added to the national transplant waiting list. However, by registering as a donor, you have the potential to give those on the list a second chance. This month, and all year long, I encourage my constituents and all Americans to register and give hope to another person in need."
