Congresswoman Beatty Supports Goals of National Mental Health Awareness Month
May marks National Mental Health Awareness Month, a nationwide initiative to raise awareness about and to help fight the stigma around mental health. In response, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:
"Over 45 million American adults are living with a mental health condition every day. Sadly, because of the stigma around mental health, many do not seek the support, assistance, and treatment they need. That is why this National Mental Health Awareness Month, and all year long, I urge my constituents and all Americans to speak out, raise awareness and help to end the stigma around mental health."
