Congresswoman Beatty Recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month
This year, September 15th to October 15th, is National Hispanic Heritage Month, an annual initiative celebrating the rich contributions the Latin American community has made and continues to make on American history, culture, and heritage.
"During Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the rich culture and vibrancy of America's Latino communities and the immense impact they make every day on our country," Beatty said. "This year's celebration is all the more important because it is imperative that Senate Republicans pass stalled legislation finally creating a path to legal status for DREAMers and their families." She continued, "It's true that America is a nation of immigrants and DREAMers make our country all the more stronger, so they too deserve equal opportunity at achieving the American Dream."
