Congresswoman Beatty Observes Women’s History Month
March is Women’s History Month, a month-long celebration of the rich contributions and pivotal role that women have played throughout American history. To mark Women’s History Month, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03), an outspoken member of the Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues and strong champion for gender equality, said:
“As our nation pauses to reflect on the many successes and gains made by women, we stand on the shoulders of those amazing sheroes who have and will continue to blaze trails for all of us to follow. While we celebrate Women’s History Month in March, we must never lose sight of the fact that their remains numerous, systemic barriers that continue to prevent women from realizing their American Dream. In that spirit, I invite my constituents to join me in honoring our past and working to build an America where every woman has the capability and opportunity to reach their full potential—because when women succeed, America succeeds!”
