Congresswoman Beatty Observes Infrastructure Week
This week is Infrastructure Week, a bipartisan campaign to raise awareness of the role of infrastructure and to highlight the need for greater investment in America's infrastructure system. On Monday, May 14, 2018, to kick off the weeklong campaign, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) participated in a roundtable with the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), state and local officials, and other stakeholders to discuss infrastructure needs in Central Ohio.
In recognition of Infrastructure Week, Beatty also issued the following statement:
"Our nation is stronger when we have a thriving and technologically-advanced network of highways, airports, bridges, water systems and broadband, as well as a secure energy grid. Infrastructure is vital to all of us, but too often goes unnoticed. That is why Congress needs to work together to upgrade our nation's highways, bridges, airports, water systems, energy grid, broadband network and much more. We need to raise our grade on infrastructure from a "D+" to an "A+." With common-sense infrastructure investments, we can put our economy on a trajectory toward greater growth, while creating new jobs for countless Americans."
