Congresswoman Beatty Named Environmental Champion
The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) recently released the National Environmental Scorecard. This year, LCV awarded U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) high marks for her commitment to building a world with clean air, clean water, public lands, and a safe climate that are protected by a just and equitable democracy.
“Protecting the environment is of critical importance, and I believe Congress has a moral obligation and duty to ensure that the air we breathe and the water we drink are clean today, tomorrow and for future generations. I am proud to have the support of the League of Conservation Voters and will continue to work with them to protect our people and our planet.”
Since 1970, LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard has been providing objective, factual information about the most important environmental legislation and the corresponding voting records for all Members of Congress. The LCV Scorecard reflects the consensus of well-respected experts from almost 20 conservation and environmental organizations.
