Congresswoman Beatty Marks National Disability Employment Awareness Month

October 13, 2020
Announcements

For 70 years, every October nation celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) to reflect on the important role Americans with disabilities have in the workplace and our economy. To mark the month-long occasion, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

"Each and every day, people with disabilities are using their talents and skills to make a difference in their communities and the workplace. However, we need to continue to ensure that all workers with disabilities are given an equal opportunity to bring their whole self to the workplace and their greater community. That is why October, I call on my constituents and fellow Americans to celebrate NDEAM, and to commit to creating an America where we emphasize one's ability, not disability."
