Congresswoman Beatty Kicks off Infrastructure Week

Week-long initiative showcases American infrastructure and its positive impact on the economy and communities

During the week of May 15-19, 2017, our country is recognizing Infrastructure Week, a bipartisan campaign to raise awareness of the role of infrastructure and to highlight the need for greater investment in America's infrastructure system. To mark the occasion, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-3) issued the following statement:

"Our nation is stronger when we have a thriving and technologically-advanced network of highways, airports, bridges, water systems and broadband, as well as a secure energy grid. Moreover, for our economy to continue to lead in the 21st century and beyond, Congress needs to make common-sense investments to help put our economy on a trajectory toward greater growth, while at the same time creating high-quality, new jobs for countless Americans. Currently, our nation has a ‘D+' grade on infrastructure, we should have an ‘A+.' Our constituents deserve no less"
