Congresswoman Beatty Highlights Importance of Earned Income Tax Credit

January 31, 2020 is Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Awareness Day, a campaign to ensure that eligible hardworking American families claim the EITC, as well to highlight the impact of the EITC when it is applied to their tax returns.

"Right now, only one in five eligible taxpayers claim the EITC because many families do not know that they qualify. In that spirit, this tax season, I urge Central Ohioans and all Americans to learn more about the EITC and to claim this benefit. "
