Congresswoman Beatty Commemorates Importance of National POW/MIA Recognition Day

Each year, on the third Friday of September, our nation pauses to observe National Prisoners of War / Missing in Action (POW/MIA) Recognition Day. In honor of the thousands of American heroes who are POW/MIA and for those who have yet to return from the battlefield, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) said:

"On this solemn day, we commemorate the many servicemen and servicewomen who are missing in action or held captive in selfless service to our nation. May we never forget all they have sacrificed in defense of our freedom, and may we never rest until each and every one of them is returned home to their loved ones."
