Announcements

This week, from March 8th through March 12th, is National School Breakfast Week (NSBW), a weeklong celebration of the School Breakfast Program. Founded in 1966, the School Breakfast Program provides low-income students across the country free or reduced-costs breakfasts. To mark NSBW, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

"The first and most important meal of the day is breakfast, and thanks to the School Breakfast Program more than 12 million students start the day off with a nutritious meal. I salute the School Nutrition Association for their hard work and am proud to work with them and like-minded organizations to make sure students are ready to tackle a full day of learning in the classroom."

NSBW is organized by the School Nutrition Association, a national nonprofit representing more than 57,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country.
