Congresswoman Beatty Celebrates National Infrastructure Week
This week, May 13th-20th, is Infrastructure Week, a bipartisan campaign to promote greater investment in America's aging infrastructure system. In support of the effort, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:
"Our nation's prosperity is directly tied to previous infrastructure investments. The Rural Electrification Act brought power to the heartland. The Federal Aid Highway Act promoted interstate commerce and strengthened national security. Today, we have the chance to make the next great investment in American infrastructure, but these projects get neither the funding nor the attention they require. This Infrastructure Week, I am joining my colleagues and all Americans to support revitalizing America's infrastructure for the good of our nation. Together we can connect communities with 21st century technology, promote safer and greener energy, and build new bridges to a better tomorrow."
