Congresswoman Beatty Celebrates National Infrastructure Week
Initiative highlights the importance of America’s infrastructure on the economy and in life
During the week of May 16-23, our country recognizes Infrastructure Week which is a non-partisan campaign to raise greater awareness of the role of infrastructure in our communities and the need for greater investment in our nation’s crumbling system. In response, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-3) issued the following statement:
“Infrastructure is vital to all of us, and too often goes unnoticed,” Beatty said. “Congress needs to work together to upgrade our nation’s highways, bridges, airports, water systems, energy grid, broadband network and the like, so that our economy can continue to lead in the 21st century and beyond. We need to raise our grade on infrastructure from a “D+” to an “A+.” With common-sense investments, we can put our economy on a trajectory toward greater growth, while creating new jobs for countless Americans.”
