Congresswoman Beatty Celebrates LGBTQ Pride Month

June 12, 2020
Announcements

The month of June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month, a month-long celebration that recognizes the LGBTQ community's ongoing battle for equal rights and the key contributions of LGBTQ Americans. U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Betty issued the following statement in observance:

"As a nation we have made huge strides in the battle for full equality, but we have so much further to go. Progress can and must be made to ensure that all LGBTQ Americans have the same rights as other Americans and can live their American dream to its full potential. In that spirit, this month and all year long, I will continue to be a champion against discrimination, a fighter for justice, and use my voice to advance equality for all Americans."

During LGBTQ Pride Month, be sure to show your support and join the conversation online by using #PrideMonth, #Equality, and #LoveWins.
