Beatty Statement on National Health Center Week
This week (August 7-13) is National Health Center Week, celebrating our nation’s health centers and recognizing their important role in the lives of countless Americans. To mark the occasion, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:
“Our community health centers are a vital component of America’s healthcare system.” Beatty said, “Whether it is veterans, children, racial and ethnic minorities, homeless individuals, or Medicaid recipients, community health centers provide affordable, high-quality healthcare to underserved communities—regardless of one’s ability to pay—while saving billions of dollars each year.” Beatty concluded, “With this in mind, I salute our community health centers for a job well done, and I will continue to do everything in my power to advocate on their behalf.”
