Beatty's Strong Commitment to Environment Recognized by LCV

Environmental advocacy group gives Congresswoman Beatty perfect score for robust environmental record

U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) was awarded a score of 100 percent for her work to safeguard the environment and promote conservations by the League of Conservation Voters (LCV). In response, Beatty released the following statement:

"Protecting the environment is of critical importance to me, and I believe Congress has a moral obligation and duty to ensure the air we breathe and the water we drink is clean today, tomorrow and for future generations. I am proud to have the support of the League of Conservation Voters and will continue to support conservation and environmental programs in central Ohio, the Halls of Congress and all across America."

Since 1970, LCV's Environmental Scorecard has been providing objective, factual information about the most important environmental legislation and the corresponding voting records of all Members of Congress. The Scorecard reflects the consensus of well-respected experts from nearly 20 conservation and environmental organizations.
