Beatty Recognizes Significance of National Brain Injury Awareness Month
March is National Brain Injury Awareness Month, a month-long observation to elevate the importance of brain injury awareness and advocate for an increase in traumatic brain injury (TBI) research funding. In response, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) released the following statement:
“Each year, more than 25 million Americans experience a TBI. In other words, you likely know someone who has had a traumatic brain injury. That alarming fact is why federal investment is needed to advance groundbreaking research so that we can better understand, diagnose, treat, and prevent TBI. Together, let’s support more Americans living with TBI on the road to recovery.”
