Beatty Recognizes National Men’s Health Week

This week (June 13-19) is National Men’s Health Week, an annual opportunity to encourage men and boys to make their health a priority and to raise awareness of preventable health issues. To mark the week, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

“Too often, men avoid going to the doctor regularly—making half as many appointments as women,” Beatty said. “That is why I urge men of all ages to schedule regular checkups and seek treatment when they are sick or hurt.” Beatty continued, “It could make all the difference.”

During National Men’s Health Week, be sure to visit Congresswoman Beatty’s Facebook and Twitter for related facts and resources. Also, do not forget to join in the conversation online by using: #MensHealthWeek and #ShowUsYourBlue.
