Beatty Recognized for Strong Commitment to Environment by LCV

Environmental advocacy group gives Congresswoman Beatty high marks for robust environmental record

Today, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) released the 2015 National Environmental Scorecard. This year, LCV awarded U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) a score of 97 percent for her work to safeguard the environment and promote conservation.

“Protecting the environment is of critical importance. We have a moral obligation and duty to ensure the air we breathe and the water we drink is clean today, tomorrow and for future generations,” Beatty said. “I am proud to have the support of the League of Conservation Voters, and will continue to support conservation and environmental programs.”

Since 1970, LCV’s Environmental Scorecard has been providing objective, factual information about the most important environmental legislation and the corresponding voting records of all Members of Congress. The Scorecard reflects the consensus of well-respected experts from nearly 20 conservation and environmental organizations.
