The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) recently released their Congressional Scorecard for the 116th Congress, a measure of Members of Congress' voting record on LGBTQ equality. U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) earned a perfect score of 100 percent. In response, she issued the following statement:

"I am honored to be named a LGBTQ rights and equality champion by the Human Rights Campaign. I am proud to stand in solidarity with them on the issues important to LGBTQ Americans and allies because discrimination and hate have no place in our society. Love always trumps hate."

Founded in 1980, HRC is the largest LGBTQ civil rights advocacy group and organization in the United States. Representing more than 1.5 million members and supporters, HRC is working to create a world where all people are ensured basic equal rights and can be open, honest and safe at home, work, and in their community.
