Beatty Marks Older Americans Month
Every May, our nation celebrates Older Americans Month (OAM), pausing to remember our nation's seniors and the issues important to them and their families. To mark OAM, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-3) issued the following statement:
"With over 10,000 baby boomers turning 65 every single day, it is more important than ever to ensure that seniors can live their golden years with dignity and respect. That is why throughout my career I have worked to strengthen and improve Social Security and Medicare, and as Vice-Chair of the Democratic Caucus' Seniors Task Force, I promise to continue fighting for all Americans, especially our seniors who are young-at-heart and deserve recognition and protection."
