Beatty Marks National Public Health Week

April 8, 2021
Announcements

Each year, during the first full week of April, our country observes National Public Health Week (NPHW). In response, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

"In the midst of the most challenging public health crisis of our lifetimes, it's more important than ever to celebrate public health. That is why I join like-minded individuals and organizations in recognizing National Public Health Week and the important role public health professionals and services play in the fight against COVID-19. Going forward, we must continue to work together on ensuring all Americans have access to high-quality, affordable healthcare before, during, and after the pandemic. As the Representative of Ohio's Third Congressional District and public health champion, I promise to do everything in my power to see that this becomes a reality."

For over 20 years, the American Public Health Association has managed the observation of NPHW, focusing on the contributions of public health and raising awareness of critical issues.
