Beatty Marks National Public Health Week
Each year, during the first full week of April, our country observes National Public Health Week (NPHW). In response, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:
“In the midst of the most challenging public health crisis of our lifetimes, it's more important than ever to celebrate public health. That is why I join like-minded individuals and organizations in recognizing National Public Health Week and the important role public health professionals and services play in the fight against COVID-19. Going forward, we must continue to work together on ensuring all Americans have access to high-quality, affordable healthcare before, during, and after the pandemic. As the Representative of Ohio's Third Congressional District and public health champion, I promise to do everything in my power to see that this becomes a reality.”
For over 20 years, the American Public Health Association has managed the observation of NPHW, focusing on the contributions of public health and raising awareness of critical issues.
