Beatty Marks National Public Health Week

Weeklong initiative emphasizes the importance of public health professionals and services

Washington, D.C. – Each year, during the first full week of April, our country observes National Public Health Week (NPHW), which runs this year from April 4th to April 10th. In response, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

“I join with like-minded individuals and organizations in recognizing National Public Health Week and the important role public health professionals and services play in nation,” Beatty said. “We must continue to work on ensuring all Americans have access to quality, affordable healthcare. I will continue to do everything in my power to see that this becomes a reality.”

For over 20 years, the American Public Health Association has managed the observation of NPHW, focusing on the contributions of public health and raising awareness of critical issues.
