Beatty Marks National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a month-long initiative dedicated to raising awareness about prostate cancer. In response, U.S. Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03) issued the following statement:

"According to the American Cancer Society, more than 150,000 American men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. It is imperative for men to know the symptoms and their risks, being that one in seven men in their lifetime will develop prostate cancer. That is why, this month and all year long, I encourage men—especially those over 50 years old—to discuss early detection with their doctor."
